After completing a great 60th anniversary season where we added a new Senior baseball division, a new field reclaiming the Howell High School Freshman campus field, and improved the uniform ordering processes to meet the needs of more players, we are excited about the preparations for next year!
As we move into the off-season, we wanted to share our continuous improvements and the plans for 2018.
Registration dates and rates
For the first time in seven years, HAJBA has approved a change in registration rates for all players, to encourage earlier registrations and minimize expenses incurred due to late registrations. While this is not ideal, the board has created opportunities for families to continue at 2017 rates.
Registration will open January 1, 2018, with EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION. All players registering between January 1 and February 17 can register at 2017 rates. As in previous years, HAJBA offers several options for payment including $25 up front with the remainder due on April 1.
Standard guarantee play registration runs February 18 - March 10: more than a week longer than previous seasons.
Late registration will begin on March 11, as space allows. However, all registrations after March 11 will include an additional rostering fee of $15.

Continuous Field Improvements

- Rototilling and field material additions for HHS and Northwest
- Testing mats for batters box and mounds at Northwest
- Fence repair and clean-up
- Exploring bleacher additions at Northwest
Opportunities for growth
With more than 1,100 players every year since 2010, HAJBA works very hard to meet the needs of everyone interested in playing baseball and softball in the county.
To meet that goal, we are always in need of volunteer help. Please consider helping with your time, your talents, or your treasures, to continue growing the league and acquiring the resources to meet the needs of the players. Whether you are able to commit to a board position, or are willing to volunteer to help with part of specific tasks that need to be completed, please consider volunteering.
