2020 Spring Registration Open!

Welcome to the 2020 HAJBA season!

Follow this link to register!

We are very excited to open registration for the 2020 season! As HAJBA continues to evolve and meet the needs of the community, we want to make sure you are aware of planned changes for this season.

  • Early registration is a tremendous help for our planning. Please encourage your friends to get registered before February 1, 2020 to save on the registration fee and pay the 2019 rates. There is a rate increase of $20 per player for this season. As always, if there are concerns about the fees preventing a player from playing, please contact the board about a scholarship opportunity.  Use the code EARLYBIRD to save $20 until February 1.

  • The schedule is changing slightly, due to recent long winters, we are going to move opening day May 9. It will switch with picture day which will be May 2.

  • Payment plans are changing for 2020. If you choose to register with a $25 deposit, 50% of the balance will be charged to the card used for registration on February 15. The balance will be charged on March 15. Offline payments are no longer an option.

  • At this point, we plan to have use Northwest and Bennett field as primary game fields.

  • We are going to work with coaches at all levels and encourage them to continue practicing during the season and will work to find field time. The goal is that every team will have 3 times to connect each week when the games begin (2 games and 1 practice, or 1 game and 2 practices)

  • We plan to have all baseball and softball seasons and tournaments wrapped up by June 27.

  • All All-star events for baseball and softball will take place on the weekend of July 10-12 at Bennett Field. These groups will have 2 weeks of practice time beginning June 28.

  • HAJBA began a partner program playing a few baseball and softball games with Pinckney Baseball last spring. For 2020, there are on-going conversations with Pinckney, SELCRA and Whitmore Lake to also work to find additional games for community programs.

  • We are working to continue to improve playing field conditions. Unfortunately, this is a process that needs to be managed in steps due to the significant costs of major updates. We have added infield dirt to fields #1 and #2 at NW, and have a goal to get 2 more fields done this spring. We are still working on fence and dugout options at NW also.

  • We have began major renovations of Bennett Field as a separate campaign. For more information on the Bennett Field plan, please visit, HowellBaseball.org/Bennett. We are actively looking for any tradespeople that have time or talent to help us with some work including dugouts and fencing. Email the board if you can help!

  • The board has several openings, and we could always use volunteers to assist with projects and planning. If you are able to help, please email, Board@Howellbaseball.org.
