As an all-volunteer organization, dedicated to giving kids and opportunity to learn and grow from baseball and softball, we never want a player to be denied the opportunity to play because of cost.
If you would like to request a scholarship for the 2019 Fall season, or to nominate someone for a scholarship, please complete a scholarship application here.
As a community based organization, field maintenance and improvement of our 20 playing fields is a tremendous expense. To help improve and maintain our fields, we are hosting several dine-to-donate fundraisers to help raise money.
Our first dine-n-donate is Tuesday, October 15 at MOD pizza located in Brighton. We will have some HAJBA board members and/or coaches working different shifts to make your pizza for you, so make sure you come in between 4pm – 8pm to get a pizza made by one of our awesome volunteers and bring this flyer with you. The schedule of volunteers is 5-6:30 Amandra Banda & Ryan Forth, 6-7:30 Kevin DeCeuninck & Nick Wilson, 6:30-8 Matt Bennett & Lance Lockhart.
Please help support HAJBA - including the travel baseball and softball programs - by participating in these events!
HAJBA will be following the lead of Howell Public Schools as it relates to Eastern Equine Encephilitis ( EEE). Please read the following excerpt from the superintendent of Howell Public Schools communication.
The Livingston County Health Department provided notice , September 29, that one case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (“EEE”) has been confirmed in Livingston County, and has recommended that members of the community act to reduce their risk of contracting EEE. Although EEE is very rare, as
public schools we recognize the importance of working with the Health Department to reduce the risk of EEE exposure.
Facts regarding the method of transmission, symptoms, and confirmed cases of EEE in Michigan can be
found at www.michigan.gov/eee.
A few steps that you can take to reduce the risk of contracting EEE, are: Apply insect repellents that contain the active ingredient DEET (or another U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-registered product), avoid being outdoors between dusk and dawn, and wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants when outdoors.
HAJBA is actively looking for travel softball coaches. If you are interested in helping teach grow the Softball community in Howell, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
